This year The Horror Game Awards will be live. The award show is returning for it fourth year.
Lost in Cult and The Horror Game Awards has partnered together to bring the show Kensington Conference and Events Centre and will be broadcast live.
Games will compete in 16 categories for The Horror Game Awards claw trophy. Two of the categories are nominated and voted on by the public.

- Players’ Choice Award (nominated and voted on by the public)
- Most Accessible Horror Game
- Most Anticipated Horror Game
- Best Performance
- Best Narrative
- Best Soundtrack
- New for 2025: Best Art Direction
- Best Indie Horror Game
- Best Multiplayer Horror Game
- Best VR Horror Game
- Horror Content Creator of the Year (nominated and voted on by the public)
- Best Developer
- Best Indie Developer
- Technical Achievement Award
- Lifetime Achievement Award
The other 14 categories are voted on by jury which includes over 60 content creators. There is specialist jury of game developers for the Technical Achievement and Lifetime Achievement awards, and a jury of accessibility experts for the Most Accessible Horror Game award.
Nominees will be announced on Friday 28 November. The public will be ableto vote in all categories after that date. Jury members will then pick the winner from the top three games voted for by the public.
The awards will be hosted by the co-creators of the awards by Phil Dickens and Will Penkeyman, alongside co-producer Ash Millman. Individual awards will be presented by developers and content creators in the horror game industry. Those presenters will be announced in the coming weeks.
