Nintendo Switch 2: What We Know So Far

Nintendo Switch 2 has been a highly discussed topic that last few weeks. Discussion ans speculation has increased even more with the release of the teaser trailer for the Switch 2.

Although there is still not a lot of details about Switch 2, some of the leak details are actually fact now.

The trailer (releases on January 16th) and showed that both physical and digital games will play on the Switch 2. Also, the new console will have backward compatibility with some games.

Joy-cons will no longer use the bar system to connect to console like in the original Switch. Instead of will have connect magnetically.

More information will come out in the next weeks and months. The first chance will be at Nintendo Direct on Wednesday, April 2, 2025.

People do not need a Nintendo account to participate in the “Nintendo Switch 2 Experience” event. But particapants will have to register for tickets. Ticket registration is not open now, but keep an eye on https://www.nintendo.com/us/nintendo-switch2-experience/ for more information.
