March is Women’s History Month with March 8 being International Women’s Day.
During March, I’ll be playing games either with women protagonist or games made by women or women owned studios.
Yesterday, I announced two of the games I’ll be playing during March. The first will be Martha is Dead developed by Italian studio LKA and the published by Wired Production. If Martha is Dead sounds familar, it was announce earlier this year that it would get a film adaptation. Martha is Dead has been descibed as a dark first person psychological, set in Italy during World War 2.
The second game on the schedule is Assassin’s Creed Liberation. Liberation was developed by Ubisoft Sofia and published by Ubisoft Entertainment. Orginially, a spin off Assassin’s Creed III, Liberation is set in French colony of Lousiana during the occupation of Spain of colony in the aftermath of the French and Indian War. Players take on the persona of the Aveline de Grandpre, who is born to wealthy French father and an Africian slave mother. Aveline is part of the social elite but secretly works to free oppressed slaves and eradicating Templar presence in the city (a theme present in Assassian’s Creed games. Liberation also makes history by featuring the first female protagonist of the series.
